UPSC CMS Application Form 2016: The Union Public service Commission has recently released a notification regarding the UPSC CMS Exam 2016 about 1009 Medical Officer posts in various departments. The eligible candidates can apply online for the UPSC CMS Exam 2016 Online Application Form  from its official website, i.e. upsc.gov.in on or before its last date, i.e. 01st April 2016. Aspirants can fill application form from official portal i.e. upsconline.nic.in. Than they can click on the Part first Registration and provide all the information and then click on the continue Now candidates have to upload their Scanned Passport size Photograph, on the given space candidates have to upload their scanned signature then click on the submission button and submit application successfully. Now you can take the hard copy of application form for future references. Remember to apply online till 01st April 2016, after that the Apply Online Link will be disabled. Candidates need to note Registration number, which will be very helpful for candidates in future.

UPSC CMS 2016 Exam Pattern: The UPSC Exam consists of two sections Computer Based Exam and personality test.

Computer Based Exam is divided into two exams Paper I & paper II: 500 Marks

Negative Marks: For each wrong answer one-third (0.33) marks will be deducted

(I) Paper I Maximum Marks: 250

Paper I Total Questions: 120

  • General Ability 30 questions
  • General Medicine 70 questions
  • Paediatrics 20 questions

(II) Paper II Maximum Marks: 250

Paper II Total Questions: 120

  • Surgery: 40 questions
  • Gynaecology &  Obstetrics: 40 questions
  • Preventive & Social Medicine: : 40 questions

(III) Personality Test: 100 Marks

(III) Personality Test:

To check Candidate’s intellectual curiosity, the balance of judgment and alertness of mind, critical powers of assimilation, ability for social cohesion, initiative and capability for leadership, the integrity of character.


Examination Fee: Examination fee is Rs 200/- for General and OBC and SC/ PWD/ ST/ Female candidates are not required to pay any fee.

Selection Process: On the basis of Computer Based Exam and personality test.
